It's not the ideal firewall as it only protects from malicious inbound traffic, but it is better than no firewall at all. You may want to look at one of these two firewalls, which offer better overall protection. They are free.
ZoneAlarm Free Firewall

Kerio Free Firewall

(Note: Use only one firewall)
(Use only one firewall. Having more than one actively running is a resource drain and they can conflict with each other.)

Absolutely. What you have indicated that you have installed on your pc is sufficient. Most people have little faith in the Windows Firewall, but having worked at an Internet Helpdesk for 7 years, not once have I encountered a person who had a problem with the Windows FIrewall not doing what it needed to do. Now, for Norton, Mcafee, Trend Micro, etc., I can't stay the same. They have a tendency to restrict web browsing even when a valid connection exists. The firewall settings can be minimal and the same would result. Most often, they would have to turn the firewalls off. I'm not saying that this happened in all instances because I am sure there are those who have not had problems with the softwares, but I'm simply speaking from experience and having worked with many disgruntled people!

No use this one:
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/
Having read some of the answers you are getting i would like to add, AVG is a very poor AV well know for missing more than it finds, over & over again we get people on here crying out for help, " I've got AVG AV it found a Virus & won't remove it", anyone who has any knowledge of computers will tell you only kids or a fool use AVG AV, as for firewalls a leak test was done on paid for & free firewalls, microsoft firewall fail the test, in short if it was a boat it would not float, the one which came first was comodo free firewall (zonealarm came 3rd).

Windows firewall is perfectly good for the average user. However it only checks on incoming traffic. So if you have a malicious program on your computer trying to connect to the internet ( phoning home) eg a trojan downloader, windows firewall will not alert you.Other firewalls alert you to any programs good or bad trying to connect to the internet. Some people find lots of alerts unsettling, even when they are legitimate.I would thoroughly recommend Comodo Pro firewall (free)If you use it,it will automatically turn off the windows firewall,as using two firewalls will cause big problems.

Windows Firewall is not a good firewall, as it can be disabled by other programs (or malware) very easily.
I recommend the free and considerably better ZoneAlarm that you can download from http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=34std&ctry=&lang=el .
I hope this helps.

Windows Firewall is limited. It doesn't have the capabilities of other firewalls.

Personally,
I think you have way to many programs that are alike on your computer.
I think, again, personally, that Spybot is crap.
I'd find a program thats a combination of a malware, adware, and spyware protection, and download that one.
Better to have one program than three that could possibly prevent one another to work.
As for AVG- thats a pretty good program, so for basic virus protection, I'd stick with that.
But remember, you don't want to overload yourself with protection programs because that tends to cause problems.
Hope I helped

I have all the ones you have, and have found they work well, but I don't down load many things. So I think you will need an expert to answer. I found having Zone Alarm just peed me off, it kept coming up and doing my head in.As long as you update and run these things on a regular basis, you should be ok.
