would like to know which royal family is richer in terms of money and property. Also, which royal family has more power than the other. How much money do the heads and heirs of these two families own. How much is self made and how much is inherited? Please give me some facts not just random answers.

The Saudi royal family OF COURSE. The british royal family aren't even wealthy, they are middle class and the queen is merely a figurehead who survives on the publics taxes. The King of Saudi Arabia has complete power of his oil rich country because it is an absolute monarchy. Prince Alwaleed is one of the worlds most powerful investors whereas, prince charles shares the publics taxes with his mother, thats why so many people in the uk are against them.

and in response to acmeraven: how do you measure respect?? as far as i'm concerned, the Saudi royals get more respect from George Bush than the brit royals because of their oil and power. I would like to see your source of information for your claim.

As far as i know, the saudi royal family are richer than the british royals because of their large investments and oil reserves. Also the uk is a constitutional monarch so the queen has no power and is just a figurehead whiles saudi arabia is an absolute monarchy, so the king has total power over the land. With the respect issue, i think the saudis get more respect knowing that some of their wealth is self made compared to the british royals where most of their wealth is gained from public taxes.

The Saudi Royal Family has more power and wealth than the entire british royal family. The queen is just a figurehead with no real power since the UK is a "constitutional monarchy". Saudi Arabia on the other hand is an "absolute monarchy" which means that total power lies in the hands of the monarch. As someone stated, the queen is the poorest of the rich since she ranks number 10 in the 10 richest royals in the world. Position 1 and 2 is the king and prince of Saudi Arabia which means the Saudi royal family wins hands down.

I don't even think anyone can put a total on how much wealth the saudi royal family has. Lets just say that throwing away a few billion doesn't even cause them to blink an eye.

The Saudi royal family is far richer than the brits royal family. Prince Alwaleed is by far the eighth richest man in the world. King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and Prince Alwaleed are currently the two richest royals in the world. Among the ten richest royals, the queen of england ranks #10. She is the poorest of the richest.

In terms of money and Power the Saudi royal family has more, SA is an absolute monarchy - power rests with the monarch. The UK is a constitutional monarchy - power rests with the Government.

Your question is hard to answer because your not comparing apples to apples. The House of Saud owns the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Queen of England has some holdings in the UK. for both most of the money is inherited but because they are not a business they don't have to report Income like say Warren Buffet or Bill Gates.

House of Windsor
The Queen's personal fortune has been the subject of speculation for many years. Sometimes estimated at US$10 billion, recently Forbes magazine conservatively estimated her fortune at around US$500 million (£280 million).

House of Saud
In a culture where men can take more than one wife, extended families can get pretty extended. The Saudi royal family has some 30,000 members, including about 4,000 princes -- like a gigantic Kennedy clan, with all the implied rivalries and competition.

The sharing of family wealth has been a critical component in maintaining the semblance of a united front within the royal family. An essential part of family wealth is the Kingdom in its entirety, which the Al Saud view as a totally owned family asset. Whether through the co-mingling of personal & state funds from lucrative government positions, huge land allocations, direct allotments of crude oil to sell in the open market, segmental controls in the economy, special preferences for the award of major contracts, outright cash handouts, and astronomical monthly allowances, - all billed to the national exchequer - all told, the financial impact may have exceeded 40% of the Kingdom's annual budget during the reign of King Fahd. Over decades of oil revenue-generated expansion, estimates of royal receipts have varied, ranging as low as $50 billion and as high as over $1.5 trillion. Nonetheless, wealth-sharing of this sort has allowed many of the senior princes & princesses to accumulate largely unauditable wealth and, in turn, pay out, in cash or kind, to lesser royals and commoners, and thereby gaining political influence through their own largesse.
