We are planning on going to Disney World during the week of Christmas and since ive never been down there that time of year, I was curious if pools are still open down there?

yes, the pools are all heated and it doesnt get really cold there in Dec. I went the first week of Jan and everything was open and it was hot enough to wear shorts and swim. Even the waterparks are open --a must do! they're top in the country/world! The waterparks dont open until 10am and it may be a little chilly at 10am. Have fun!

They usually are, but be warned: A lot of Disney resorts close the pools down in December or January for repairs or maintenance. Disney is also notorious for closing down one or both water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) during those two months. Your best bet is to call the resort and make sure the pool will be open while you're there before you make your reservations.

Absolutely. You can swim year round in Florida at all resorts. Some days are cooler than others, but most pools are heated. I've stayed at Disney many times in December, and the pools are always open and sparkling. Call your resort for more info on their specific pools.

Pools (except City owned ones) are open at all resorts all year long so bring a couple swimsuits and a pair of sunglasses. Sometimes the weather can be 80 in Dec and sometimes it can be 40. You never know. So do not leave your sweater or jacket at home.

The hotel pools are open year round.
The attractions like Blizzard Beach and such will
be closed due to high cost and low attendance.
