Mariah Carey and I have the same personal definition of the word "hero"

2007-09-04 03:47:58 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

My definition of the word hero is....
1. My Mom and Dad....They took care of me and gave what I needed and sometimes wanted while I was growing up....Made sure I had a roof over my head, food on the table, clean clothes and making me feel very loved and appreciated...a day did not go by without them telling me they loved me..
2. My daughters..They have always made me feel like "a Princess or Queen" ..They have always been appreciative of everything that I have done for them, whether it was buying a .50 cent toy or a new outfit, and even a candy bar....they do appreciate the small things as well as the Big more expensive things...and just to see the light in their eyes and smile on their face makes ANY thing I do, big or small, worth it all...and to hear those sweet little voices tell me that they Love me......there isn't NOTHING else like it....
3. My boyfriend....the way he looks at me, when he smiles at me with his breathtaking smile and gorgeous eyes....the way he is always encouraging me among other things....He is going through so much but at the same time he is trying to make my life so much better and putting his needs aside...and hearing him say I Love You...
TO ME THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A "REAL" HERO..

I don't believe it can be defined, because to give it a definition would make it into something, which is the opposite of nothing. When I read the word "nothingness" what I see in my mind is this: The hum of the universe fading to quietness--not because it is quiet, but because everything within ones self is attuned with it (kind of like a smell will go away quickly because you get used to it.) Then, out of the stillness, there is nothingness. *shrug*

♥ I'm not sure I can really describe a hero.. there are many definitions to it. My hero is my mom! Firefighters, police, doctors, etc are hero's in many people's eyes. A good samaritin that stops to help save a life is a hero..... just so many different peope can be heroes! :-)

maybe someone who saves a life or two and really does not want any recognition at all, and they say that anyone would have done the same thing...those people are hero's....
most of our Military that are trying to fight the terrorist in the world...
most of the police who have to go day in and day out with the knowledge that at any moment they could be killed in so many ways, but they keep on doing their jobs of trying to protect us...
TEACHERS.....well I could go on for days with this one, TEACHERS do everything that the military and the police do but get paid so so little to do so, and they do protect and teach all the children..

smile
good luck
