Is there something you know you have to do, just have to do it, but don't like doing it and put it off time and time again, even if it upsets someone in your life?

What you are describing isn't stubbornness, it's procrastination. You know yourself it has to be done and keep putting it off. Eventually you will do it because you must. Stubborn would be if you never do it no matter what.

I always deny having a stubborn streak. Yet, I know I do, my husband reminds me of this. I don't recall putting off things time and again. There are times that my husband wants me to go fishing or to a drag race with him,and I have no desire to go. After a few words on the subject he ask why I have to be so stubborn or hard headed.

Hate to admit it but yes. After so long in a sales career, after I gave up my dancing career.; calling people on the phone. Or calling them back. In fact, spending any time on the 'phone.

I don't like myself for not calling back, but sometimes just get into a groan of "Oh no, I just DON"T want to call back now". Not good.
