Look at the things he does well or the things he's interested in, and then secretly master it. For instance if, he really loves football, learn and understand the game, secretly watch ESPN and keep up with stats for a whole season. Then next season, occasionally watch a game with him and make little comments that would impress him.

Look at his job and research new innovative facts surrounding his career so the you can be in the know and ahead of the game especially if you attend a company function.

Learn a new hobby yourself. For instance, become a master of golf or tennis.

Go back to school or take up a new career and do really well. A woman who is taking care of her business and excelling in what she does is ALWAYS impressive. Makes a man feel like he has to "step up his game".

Keep up with the news and always research other interesting news facts around the world --like things you may not hear on the 5oclock news. It's impressive to be "in the know" and in tune with the world around you.

This a really broad question so I have to give a really broad answer...

Just secretly learn to do something that he already loves or likes doing.

Example: My S.O. has made it a mission to learn to do a few tricks on the kneeboard (hydroslide) She mainly has just been paying really close attention to me and picked it up by watching...when she, out of nowhere, did a 360 my jaw dropped to the ground with amazement....She had a blast just watching me get all excited and happy....

So in gist....anything that he would enjoy...without knowing what he enjoys its hard to answer specificly.

Hope this gives a few ideas.

Think about what he really really likes, that is not an ordinary skill, and master that. Example - my BF loves sushi, so I took a class and learned how to cut/roll my own - not many people know how to do that, and he was really impressed.

Cook a meal that is NOT a one dish meal, get it all to the table at the same time, everything at its proper temperature, sit down to eat, and be able to make simple, pleasant conversation without looking frazzled.

MUCH easier said than done, especially at breakfast.

learn to cook well and never stop creating new dishes.
If you tread on his territory (mowing lawns, car stuff etc)
he a) might feel threatened or b) will happily delegate those jobs to you in future, which means YOU LOSE hahaha but a good cook keeps any man in awe and pretty happy :)))
