You do it in the test centre car- or i did anyway (winchester test centre, hamsphire). They have their own cars and their own driving examiners so if your instructor went they could only see you before and after the test.
However it is ideal to have a lesson, as i did , right upto the point of the test as a last minutre refresher for you. If i were you i would porbably cancel and re-book for a day when you can have a lesson beforehand.

you usually do your test in your instructors car, you can do it in your own car if you want but if you have only ever taken lessons in your instructors car you would be better to take your test in it. If your instructor cant be their then you may have to cancel the test and book a time when your instructor can be there. I took my test in my own car but i had been taking lessons in that car for about six months previous to my test

driving tests are normally done in your instructors car, not the examiners. I think you will have to re book your test.

You normally bring your own car to the exam. You need a licensed driver, over 21 to take you and the car must be insured and in good operating condition.
