The United States doesn't have a mother tongue. You don't hear English referred to as American. It is English, the mother tongue of England, French is the same for France, German for Germany. Mexico uses Spanish, so there is no mother tomgue there either. Canadians do not speak Canadian, and most of the nations in the Americas use a european language.

You could say America, but some of the indigenous American people speak American Indian languages.
Another one is Austria, but in part of Austria a form of Flemish, peculiar to that region is spoken
However, Switzerland definitely has no mother-tongue language. According to which area one lives in, French, German, or Italian is spoken.

In Brasil we have a mother tongue language that's Tupy Guarani,
however Portuguese is the official language.

The countries of North, Central and South America and America were all founded by immigrants that brought their language with them. Bermuda, Cuba, Jamiaca and other island countries also experienced this.

Mine is English--from England. yet i'm unhappy to assert that us human beings have replaced the language, utilising all of those slangs and stuff...=( that is unhappy. i've got been to England previously and that they spoke (from what it gave the impression of) from Shakespeare! =p I want i could desire to communicate like them.
