I can only say that if you are involved in an accident to the extend that you were so foolhardy that someone lost their life that is manslaughter.
Fight outside a pub. Man gets thumped falls over and hits his head on the pavement and dies. That could be considered manslaughter particularly if the hitter was the aggressor

It varies from state to state, but voluntary manslaughter is usually defined as--the unlawful killing of a human being with or without premeditation and deliberation but done in the "heat of passion."
It is generally murder with mitigating cirucumstances. Most of the definitions above are more applicable to second degree murder which is when one lacks the intent to kill. However, they are all a little right and probably a little wrong, just like my definition is probably a little bit right and a little bit wrong.
The homicide crimes are extremely difficult to define without looking at the definition in the state's code. The common law definitions of the homicides seemed to revolve around whether a person had the intent to kill. Since the Model Penal Code, whether the defendant has an intent to kill is no longer all that important.
(Just because you are too stupid to understand what I am saying, doesn't mean I am wrong.)

Killing a person through negligence or wrecklessness.
Its a crime, but the punishments are less severe than for homicide. The main difference is intent. In manslaughter there is no intent to harm or to kill the victim.

manslaughter is when you kill some one, but it isn't considered murder because you didn't mean to do it or plan it.

1/ it results in the death of someone
2/ it lacks intention or plannning (mens rea)
3/ if there is intention then you need 'temporary loss of control' otherwise its murder.
