You have a microscope that has an ocular magnification of 5x. You have 3 objective lens on the microscope which have magnifications of 6x, 15x, and 50x. What is the total magnification of the 3 objective lens

You multiply to find the answer.

5x times 6x =30 x magnification
5x times 15x= 75x magnification
5x times 50x =250x magnification.

lens is singular, lenses is plural. I did not know which lens you wanted, or all 3.

To work this out, you multiply the magnification of the lenses together.

Each of the objective lenses will send the light through the 5x ocular lens (as that's the one you look through).
So the magnifications of each are multiplied by 5: giving a final mag. of 30x, 75x, and 250x
