What an inspiration to cancer sufferers everywhere. I was beginning to thin she was invincible! I think she died the way she would have wanted - and through all her marathons, triathlons not only did she raise millions for cancer charities, she gave herself about another SEVEN years with her family.

My condolences to Jane's family. God Bless, Jane you
are a star!

Edit: LittleMiss: Not being cheeky but whats a Lengand?

I have to agree. I don't really pay much attention to who the media are propping up as the latest hero. But I have always admired her, and all the work she has done to raise not only funds but awareness for cancer.
She is a real hero, and someone who deserves all the the accolades she gets.

condolences to her family, who have lost someone great.

For those of you who are unaware of this amazing woman, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and instead of sitting back and letting it beat her she did loads of marathons, triathlons, ironman events. She biked across America and from Rome to her home in Leeds. She also biked Jon o Groats to Lands end (one end of the U.K to the other). All of this was done AFTER a diagnosis of terminal cancer. She has raised millions of pounds and received many awards for her bravery and services to charity. She also held down a job and was a mother of 3 and a wife. She will be sady missed.
