…Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls. Do you think this has put a roadblock in her movie career since it seems like she has been in over drive with her music career?
The reason I asked is because before Dreamgirls premiered she was so fired up about putting her music career on hold in 2007 to focus on acting. I think she thought DG’s would make her a bona fide heavy weight in the acting business and also get her that Oscar award that she really wanted. It is obvious that not to many movie scripts are coming her way and Jennifer Hudson has landed three scripts since winning the Oscar.

I agree most definitley. Beyonce got outshined by J Hud and was not expecting it, by a long shot.

I do not think it put a roadblock in her film career. Ms. B's role was supposed to be overshadowed by the stronger voice, which was Jennider Hudson's. The original " Dreamgirls" play and film highlighted that as well. It was only in reality that the person whom Beyonce's role was modeled after, Diana Ross, outshone the her rival, who was Flo Ballard. She did not triumph over her tragedy, she became a victim of it and died at the age of 36.
We don't know whether she has not received many movie scripts since then. It takes on average 18-24 months to bring a movie from filming to the big screen. For most well known actresses, they receive scripts at least one every week, so for Jennifer to score only 3, is not that much. Get a little perspective.

Yup she was and im sorry if u like beyonce or something but she relly cant act whereas jemmifer can so she should just let the actor act.

beyonce uhhhhhh she wears weaves and lots of make up ......... uhh i would hate to wake up next to her in the morning !!!!!!!
