The human race must move to a planet beyond our Solar System to protect the future of the species, Professor Stephen Hawking has warned. “Once we spread out into space and establish colonies, our future should be safe”. He said there were no similar planets to Earth in our Solar System so humans would "have to go to another star". Hawkings said that current chemical and nuclear rockets were not adequate for taking colonists into space as they would mean a journey of 50,000 years. He also discounted using warp drive to travel at the speed of light for taking people to a new outpost. Instead, he favoured "matter/anti-matter annihilation" as a means of propulsion. "When matter and anti-matter meet up, they disappear in a burst of radiation. If this was beamed out of the back of a spaceship, it could drive it forward." Travelling at just below the speed of light, it would mean a journey of about six years to reach a new star.

What chance London’s Metronet can get us moving into space?!!!!!

No, maximum tube strains run till approximately 00:30am, in spite of the fact that some do run till 1am (the crucial line working example). maximum national Rail centers function till some million:30am, yet some do function till a minimum of 3am. At 4am the only way you will get around is by using bus. London has a remarkable nightbus provider that function each and every of the early hours. the main suitable direction is as follows: walk from the o2 section to North Greenwich tube station. This takes approximately 5 minutes. on the station, take the huge style 188 bus in the direction of Russell Sq. At Elephant & castle station, get off the bus and alter onto the huge style 40 5 in the direction of Kings go St Pancras. adventure takes extra or less an hour.

Prof. Steven Hawking is quite right. The future of the human race is not secure until we have established colonies on other planets and not just in our own solar system.

It will happen, it's just a matter of time.

No one can be completely sure if Earth is our real home anyway.

Ever wondered why we so many of us are allergic to this or that? Could be our own original planet blew up but fortunately for us, some of us were already on our way here. The ship burned up in low orbit but we survived in a pod, just the two of us. Adam & Eve.

The story continues....

what a question?why not make this planet safer to live on? let those who want to die do so. Why bother about your neighbor' s thoughts ( as far as they remain in thoughts and no actions), tell your friend Prof Hawking not to mislead any by his warning which could have other meanings !Once we heard people were caught selling land on the Moon! Now we hear of space tourism. Then muslims (suicide bombers)going to Paradise without passports or visa. What next? Await thrillers -a good pass time to listen but do not believe in all such!

Stephen Hawking doesn't have to be right, you know. He can't tell the future.
