This "war" in Iraq is not an actual war. It was a presidential decision to start a military offensive without the Senate or Congress actually declaring war on any nation as is the law of land. So, it sure has every aspect of being World War IV - because we can count the aggression on Yugoslavia as World War III when several countries joined under NATO bombed the Serbs to kingdom come under a false pretext.
This "war" in Iraq is now a police action used to support a puppet government into stabilizing the country somehow. Looting of assets in Iraq can only start when it is secure enough for Western companies to do so.
So, can we even call it a war, much less a world war? I don't think so. It's a military operation for sure...but let's call it an international police action, not a war.

I define it as a war between two countries. World wars consist of at least 3 -6 theaters.

I can understand why you would think so, never having experienced World War II. Had you been around, even as a child, in those days, you would know the difference.

It's not a world war.
Yet.
Wait until China decides to collect on all the money dubya and co. have borrowed from them.
Then you'll see a world war - and it'll make iraq look like a tea party.

Not even close. Although some jingoists would want us to believe it is reality says no way. If we really had WWIII there would be nothing left of us to sit here and type this stuff on YA.

Be patient, we'll get around to it. Rome wasn't built in a day. Here's some encouragement. Pass it on.

I think they're calling it Operation Freedom. But I think it should be called that. Maybe they will in the future when kids are studying the "past" (our present).
