Ohh if it was me they'd be out of the Top 25 for sure

I would rank them as one of the most laughable teams in college football right now. Not to take away from Appalachian State who was totally awesome! Never been a Michigan fan even though I was born, raised and have lived in Michigan all my life. Go Green!

It can't be high enough that if a team above them loses to a ranked opponent, Michigan will have the chance to be above that other one loss team. In other words, if michigan and another one loss team (to a ranked or even 1-A opponent) are 2 and 3 respectively at the end of the year, why would Michigan deserve to go to the NC game? Because they lost in the first week, it might actually help them, unfortunately. They had one bad game. They probably thought it would be a blow out, and they didn't show up to play. I think they're good, but I don't think a one loss team should be shafted because Michigan happened to lose at the beginning of the year and had time to make up places in the polls. Basically, I think when it comes down to it, even if Michigan is ranked 2 at the end of the year, the voters will have a long enough memory to keep them out of the BCS Championship game. I wouldn't expect them to make a great bowl game either, but mark my word... out of that loss is going to come a stronger, fighting, something-to-prove Michigan team. The results of that effort will be minimal.

I've watched Appalachian State destroy Southern Conference Teams for years. Last year they came to Chattanooga for the National Championship game and looked as good as many mid level SEC teams I watch.

So lets say that if Vandy can pull the upset of Tennessee, And Kentucky can top Florida during any given Saturday then I was not real surprised about the final score. What surprised me is the Michigan coaching staff not being able to infom their players that a pushover WAS NOT coming to town. I would rank them about 18th or lower.

Not in the Top 25. Wake Forest is the only other Division I Team to ever lose to App. And they haven't since 2000.

I have to think that game was a fluke. If they were to play again this weekend Michigan would win in a blow out, but there are rarely second chances in football. Michigan should drop to tenth - twelfth.

Not a fan, just giving a logical answer.

I would rank them 30. Losing to a unranked 1-AA team at home is unfathomable.

Twenty-Sixth...there's no way they should be in the top 25, and I wouldn't bet against them falling from 26 under Lloyd Carr's expert coaching.

I guess they cannot even be in the top 25 after that humiliation. will take a lot time to rebuild any credibility

Somewhere between 20 and 25. The polls will give them another chance to show their wares.
