Don't shave it all. It doesn't look very nice all gone (like a little girl) it gets REALLY itchy and regrows thicker and coarser. There is no purpose in you shaving it all... your friends are somewhat immature and rather silly ;) Most grown up women don't shave it all, only the bikini line.
Shave your bikini line if you feel the need.. basically, put on your bathers, bikini or underwear and shave off any hair that sticks out the sides (mark a line just inside your knicker line). Once you shave, you will need to shave every 3 days or so... you might get shaving rash, which is itchy but unavoidable as the new regrowth appears the next day... always use your own shaver and never share them, use a quality shaving cream, although body wash or even hair conditioner works really well too.. and remember to moisturise the area after shaving with some unperfumed body lotion such as cocoa butter. (The fancy creams might sting and give you a rash). Otherwise your skin will become tough and flaky after a while....
I started shaving my bikini line at 14 too... you might not need to, but if you are dark haired with heavy growth, then it might be a good decision. Most importantly, it's your body... you decide what happens to your body, not your friends. Do what you want to do, not what your friends do. This is a personal choice based on what makes you comfortable, not a competition.

Only if you want to. I didn't at that age; there was no point. If you haven't already found the urge to do it, and presumably aren't bothered by your hair, there's no point in doing it just because some of your friends do.

It can be very irritating to do, potentially dangerous if you cut yourself, and most people complain of ingrown hairs, razor burn and itching when it grows back.

If you're going swimming you can have a little trim and do the bikini line but as you're so young I don't think you need to shave the whole thing. Maybe try it and see if you like it and then you can, otherwise not. It is a myth that all guys prefer it that way; most don't have a prefernence as long as it's clean and they're getting some action anyway.

Some women shave for aesthetic reasons. It will not grow back thicker. The only way to permanently remove pubic hair is with laser treatments.

No.

Shaving is often described as 'more hygenic', but it isn't.

Most people compromise by 'tidying up' the hairs that would stick out of a bikini (by plucking them or using depilatory cream regularly).

Some people also cut their pubic hair so that it looks 'neater', but leave it long enough to feel soft. (pubic hair can feel very erotic, to you or to a partner).

Some people feel 'adventurous' if they shave it all off, or just leave a small 'strip' at the front. This pattern was developed by the porn industry, so that photographs could 'show more flesh'.

If you shave it off because you're self-conscious about how it looks, then you'll probably worry just as much about what you look like without it.

Shaved skin is more vulnerable to irritation and infection, and 'ingrown' hairs. Well-maintained (washed regularly but not obsessively, conditioned lightly, dried thoroughly) pubic hair is protective and attractive, and a good accessory for foreplay, either on your own or with a partner.

I shave it because I feel so bad with it. Like the hair bothers the hell out of me. I don't want to have a squirrel in my pants. I think women need to shave it or trim it, just my opinion.

I don't think you should shave your public hairs just becuase your friends are. Your to young to be thinking about doing things like that.

just leave it where it is your friends say they have shaved it but they proberly haven't when your older you can decide what to do with i.e wax, trim ect ect, just leave it where it is for now, (besides if you do shave it, it'll be really ichy when it grows back lol- experince!)

Only if you want to, the choice is entirely yours and as your friends will (probably) never see you entirely naked if you feel embarrassed that you don't want to, just tell them that you have already. There's no good medical reason to do it, it's simply personal choice, and you're far too young to be worrying about it.
