I wonder which will be deleted first, your question or my answering it?
I would be offended if she left for another man.
I would be disappointed if she left for a woman and didn't invite me to join in.

I can honestly and without a doubt say same sex. My ex husband left me for another man. I cannot compete against another man. I have what it takes to compete with another woman, but honestly have no clue how to compete with the other man. When I was at one of my lowest points and crying to one of my friends I told him I was not woman enough to keep my man, and he looked me square in the eye and said "Girlfriend, you wasn't man enough to keep that man!" Things change that day because I realized I was not at fault, and there was nothing I could do to change what happened except "Live well and be happy with my son!"
Peace.

Same. At least if it was the opposite I wouldn't feel like I was being replaced by someone better... more like someone different. Lol.

I would rather the same sex. At least then you know that its not all about "you", and maybe more about her/his internal conflict with ones own sexuality. I guess is the best way to answer your question

Well, I'll have to say the same sex. I've never experienced any one of the two choices really so I'm not sure. :D

It wouldn't matter which gender he left me for, it would still hurt.
In one way, I think it would bother me less if he left me for a man. At least then I'd decide he was finally being honest with himself.
