I thought it was one hurricane per letter.

edit: Actually Trey, there are FOUR oceans (Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Artic).... I just didn't realize they named the storms separately.

Hurricane Felix is part of the network of names given to storms that form in the Atlantic Ocean. Hurricane Flossie was formed in the Pacific Ocean, and all Pacific storms are separately named.

There are hurricanes that originate and form in the Atlantic Ocean and there are also hurricanes that form in the Pacific Ocean. Those Pacific storms are given an entirely different sets of names.

Flossie was a Pacific named storm, Felix is an Atlantic named storm

You need to realize there are two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic. The East Pacific hurricanes have one set of names and the Atlantic have another set, also the seasons for beginning and ending is also different, the Pacific begins earlier than the Atlantic.
