My period is always a few days off each month, between the 5th and 10th of each month. I normally mark it down on my calendar so I can look back and see when I should be getting it in relation to the last several months. I normally have really bad cramps the day or two before and low and behold.. I've had cramps for the past 2 days. Last night they were really bad so I figured, "I'll probably end up getting my period sometime tomorrow."

I woke up this morning to some brown spotting and I'm not sure if it's normal in my situation, so any insight would be appreciated. Here's outside information I have to offer:

- I had sex 2 Saturday night with my boyfriend, but we were protected and he didn't ejaculate inside me, because it was my first time and as embarrassed as I am to say, I was afraid.
- I've been stressed out over school, friends, work, and other various things in my life.

Serious answers only, please.

Brown blood is just old blood and yes it can indicate that the period is coming. Sometimes it can occur because of stress or infection as well. Brown blood at the start of a period is normal as well as at the end.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

well i am no doctor! but....
spotting brown doesn't necesarilly mean a bad thing...
it can be sometimes because your period doesn't come at the same time each month...so its a little off balanced...which means that if you bleed alittle brown its because your system isn't so clean!
but i don't think you have anything to worry about.
NOW...if this happens for another month straight, you might want to set up an appointment with your doctor!
and one more thing every women has spotted brown at least once! even me

It is possible that you are having implantation bleeding. It is usually pink to brown in colour and happens when the fertilized egg borrows into the uterus. Cramping is also a common sign of early pregnancy. Although it is also a sign the your period could be coming. Pregnancy symptoms are very similar to those you experience prior to getting your period. As for your boyfriend not ejaculating in you, no sex is 100% safe except for NO SEX. It is possible to become pregnant he your boyfriend ejacuated near your Va Jay Jay. Not common, but very possible.
I wish you luck.
