Physics (practical science) and philosophy (rather theoritical science) are only two side of a coin. The exchange is very natural whatever may be the direction.

east has to meet west particularly ifr the world is spherical in shape.

I think Philosophy and Physics met a long time ago.

In fact all knowledge does really come together, if there is any one capable of knowing everything.

Science should never rely on philosophy because science is logical, testable, predictable, observable and falsifiable method of investigation, philosophy is not.
