Talking to Yourself happens only when Mind starts talking to its own thoughts. Now talking happens when the question arises. and when question is responded it is nothing but answering only Thus Talking to Yourself and Answering to Yourself both are synonymous. So though talking to Yourself is permitted by you , is not a Mature Behavior.

I hold entire conversations with myself. Actually, not quite true. I tend to think the first part of the conversation and then verbalise the second.

Walking along the street people are quite likely to pass me and hear .....

"No, I don't agree ............... Well there is that but looking at it another way, I could try ......... Well, I don't know! ............ If I went there, it would cost less ......."

Etc, depending on the subject mater of the conversation. Also you can bet I'll just get to a loud part and someone will walk past. I've tried not talking to myself outside and can't stop, so I've developed ventriloquist-like abilities and sometimes get my mobile out so people think I'm actually speaking to someone.
