All I know is I know nothing.

I started thinking about this a few weeks ago: I think the world would be a better place with much happier people if everyone would just be happy with what they have. If we are always thinking about what we want and stopping at nothing to get it, i.e. better jobs, bigger houses, nicer cars, we are missing out on the "here & now" and are never going to be content. My husband thinks I have no goals and ambitions because I am content with my job and am not always trying to find something better. My goal was to graduate college, and I did. Then I needed a job and found one which is pretty much all I've ever wanted in a job. Why do I need more?

I understand that this attitude has drawbacks b/c some people may never try to do better with their lives. But maybe they could set a few realistic goals and strive to meet them....I don't know. The point is - some people work their whole lives to meet some sometimes unrealistic goals and end up missing out on life.

Inherently every one is philosophical irrespective of his or her religion, cast or creed. What the basic philosophy says?! Be natural in behavior. Trees/plants provide us fruits/flowers, moon provides charming, beautiful moon light and sun provides life giving sun shine without asking any thing in return. Mother takes care of the child more than her own self. In this universe, seas, oceans, mountains, trees, plants, animals, and even seasons follow a certain rhythm and naturality in behavior. To be natural means ...to give .. to help...to behave with kindness and to love.
Human beings also behave with the same innocence as a child but during the process of growth and environmental influences, attain un-natural qualities which are responsible for today's ills like , extremism, violence etc.
Global brotherhood and love are the call of the day.
Real philosophy preaches that every one has to behave in a natural way and do his/her duty and leave the result to God. .
To be natural is the real philosophical attitude.

Why? - When? - Where? - What?

I ask these questions every day of my life, as with questions we find answers and answers don`t come without asking oneself. So philosophy for me is a way of increasing my moral state and having more views about life - not being narrow-minded. So it helps a lot, and I like finding answers by thinking them logically not irrationally.

maybe. i guess i'm just interested and curious of philosophy that's why i tend to engage in philosophical discussion and besides, i have to better acquaint myself with philosophy or else i'll flunk my philosophy subject-course. i guess i'm slightly philosophical in terms of life and success. i think that when it comes to this i'm more of finding the best answers rather than the right and wrong, for i know in myself that right things are never good for me, and if wrong things do come to me, i guess i'll just have to find a way to correct it. =)

It's like every single person I come into contact with is the freakin weirdest person I have ever met in my life. And when I look at myself in the mirror I see the mother of them all !.
