Human nature, most people are mean spirited. Most deny that, but their actions more then show that to be true.
People are invisible here and so their true nature comes out.
99% of them would never say what they do on here to anyone's face, because there would be trouble.
And the meanest one's are nothing but cowards in real life anyway.

This is a percipient observation. I'm shocked at the blatant racists, sexists and all the rest that fall within that degrading genre of ne'er'do wells. Its really enlightening to know that this cadre of people have no compunctions about freely airing their prejudices on the internet. Of course they hide behind nom de plumes.
Why does Yahoo not monitor out this class of degenerates? Perhaps Yahooo wisely allows everybody to see what a lot of low down prejudices pervade the internet market place and life in general.

Probably, because they are not allowed to be outspoken in their natural environment, so they take their anger out on folks who can't touch them physically.
I think these mean people should be pitied. They seem to be having a bad century, not just a bad day.
My suggestion is to ignore them, let them have their rant. And when they mess up & don't follow the guidelines...Report them to Yahoo Answers, that's what that little flag is for at the end of their answer.
If all else fails, keep a log of thse folks. Don't add them to your contact list!!!

With the recent changes and the Yahoo Answer Nazis, you may not have to worry much longer. Q&A is being dumbed down to the point of total inarticulation. It may simply die a slow and miserable death of illiteracy.

When I was very young I lived in an apartment building that was infested with roaches. No matter how clean I kept my place they were everywhere. I later discovered my neighbors were complete slobs. I moved once my lease was up.
I learned 3 things.
1. Like cockroaches, no matter how clean your heart racists will find their way into your space.
2. Cockroaches and racist breed in the dark. No one can see you on the internet.
3. They both scurry when they are exposed.
