why put in the work to get something if you don't work twice as hard to keep it?

Because its western culture, were spoiled, we don't have to. Ideally thats the way its suppose to be, real relationships work that way, but not romantic relationships.... nor alot of the time any of our ambitions, but then again society has tooken away alot of our power, but I digress....
