First off- 12 angry men is incredible, I remember I watched it in one of my high school classes. Neither here nor there, '12 Angry Men' is an outstanding film. It is proof that, for a film to be great, it does not need extensive scenery, elaborate costumes or expensive special effects - just superlative acting
2nd... Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was not in black and white.
3rd... Schindler's List is my favorite although it was from '93, if you are talking about old school classics...was 'Casablanca' I dont know why i had never seen this movie, until a couple of months ago, but its fantastic, if you ever wonder where all those pick up lines originated from, well this is it. haha. This is just a master work of all-time!!!

I watched The Philadelphia Story a few days ago, starring is Katerine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart. One of my favorites and so much fun to watch. I remember enjoying 12 Angry Men when I saw it a few years ago.

Good Night, and Good Luck, though I suppose that's a modern movie shot in black and white.
