Africa is the richest continet in the world regarding natural resources, spiritual wealth, hospitality and wisdom. But it has become (by design) home to the poorest peole in the world in terms of financial wealth. In the long run is it more important to stand on a foundation of paper money or natural riches? Or is it better to make friends around the world so you could have a share of whatever the other has got?

"Spotty" thanks for the words of encouragement and the hope you give. I believe the change in Africa is beginning to happen, I can recognise the baby steps towards positive change. Once again, thank God almighty for people like you.

Natural resources are better for a people to have than money.
Natural resources, if managed properly, can increase the wealth of the whole people for a loooong time. Now, money, spend it, and whoopee, its gone...gone...gone...

Africa has a rich cultural diversity, a rich long history, and they should focus on using their natural resources to finance a foundation (education) for their children to learn about their heritage (a proud child is a strong child) and about their neighbours heritage (an understanding child is a peaceful child).

As the situation is today, with the big world corporations taking advantage of the situation, and african warlords and powermongers bent on eradicating the "others",
(Uganda then, Sudan now).

For Africa to overcome it's problems, it needs to cooperate on a continental level (The African Union is a step forward) about the price of the resources that leaves Africa, educate their children, and in a generation Africa should become the new economical wonder of the world. Asia did it, so can Africa, but it needs to get itself together and aim for the sky, not the neighbours.
