Can anyone please give me more information on how to join the Islamic religion I want to convert but I don't know if I can manage with all the clothing policy,I live in cape town and there are many muslims and they don't clothes like everyone else

Just believe and admit from your heart that there is not god but Allah and Mohammed is the prophet of Allah. Congratulations! Heaven!
The prophet said " A person will never enter hell if he had an atom weight of Iman in his heart".
So, from that moment you should start doing the prayers, reading Quran, learning about your religion, so the best idea is to go to any mosque and tell them that you want to declare that you will be a muslim and they will help you with everything you need.
I didnt understand what is the clothing policy, there is no policy of clothing for men except that you should wear something to cover starting from your umbilicus to your knees, thats it.

having sex with slaves is a common fact in all civilizations Islam didn't invent it I'm pretty sure if you were in that age where all people have sex with slaves and someone comes to you and says don't do that you would not accept it Islam in it's wisdom solved this problem by considering freeing the slaves would be rewarded in heaven and would remove the sins and you can see that in following : if you kill someone by mistake = you must free a slave so Allah will forgive you if you divorced your wife in a wrong way = you must free a slave if you perjured an oath = you must free a slave if you eat during Ramadan = you must free a slave if you done nothing wrong and you want to be rewarded in heaven = you have to free a slave these which I could remember and there are much more by learning this you could understand that the aim of Islam is to free these people the way Abraham Lincoln wanted while the southern states refused and the civil war was declared .

first go ahead and if you have belif in isalam join it .
you must know what you should or should not.
When u are involved u will find no problem with any thing else.
sorry ia m not able to recognize from your name if u are am male or female. if u are male then u do not hace any thing to do wit clothes. If u are a female u have to cover the body except the face and the hands.
Take the first step , learn how to pray , learn to read Quran and understand it .u will feel the difference and u will be able change a lot of things u thought u can not live with out it.

congratulations on making a very wise decision. U do not have to worry abt clothing for now. As long as u believe there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his last prophet, u r a muslim. If u r asking abt the way u shud convert, first thing u shud do is take a shower then say the 2 shihadas " I believe there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet"

Islam is not about clothing , faith is about what stays in heart and assured by work , so if you want to RE vert to Islam and like to call it revert because all people were born Muslim by nature and if any child die before being adult , he counts as Muslim , so if you really want to do it just believe that there is not GOD but ALLAH and MOHAMED is his messenger and i am sure you will find in cape town some Islamic center to help you know about prayers and duty of Muslim , may ALLAH help you and lead your own steps , you might e-mail me for more info if you want to

i guess you are a man , so you dont have to change anything in your clothing.
when you wear a swimsuit, it should 'nt be tight . it should cover your body from waist to knees. that's all.
go to the islamic center or the main mosque in your city. tell the sheikh about your intention to become moslem. he will guide you , and show you how to wah before prayer and how to pray.
congratulations . you have made a wonderful decision that will lead you to heaven, God willing.

I suggest that you find where your nearest mosque is so that you can receive support and instructions. It may also good to do a google search of new Muslims/reverts/converts to search where is the nearest group to where you are living.

I recommend that you declare here the first step .. There is only one god and no God but Allah, Mohamed the messenger of God.

its nothing do with clothes u can be Muslim with any clothes as long as its decent & u believe in god &the prophet & have good morals.
