We can never see the unforeseeable so just live like there's none ^_^
This advice sounds a bit too optimistic. Our actions may already be predetermined and if so then there's no escape from fate. But even so, WE CANNOT SEE THE UNFORESEEABLE. If you really think about it, we can never tell the future with 100% accuracy. So, there's no use troubling ourselves of figuring out how to escape from it--just live like there's no fate; for if there is fate, we hold it in our hands.

To be frank, no one can escape their fate.
Each soul, I believe was designated a body and along with that body, a life. People kid themselves to think they really have any choice at all because the fates placed you in a specific body and gave you a specific life that will end at a given time.
So, basically, there can be no escaping who you are, or who fate determines you should be. You can try, but... it just isn't possible.
And excuse me .little mac. how much hard working is going to get, let's say, a down syndrome kid into the presidential office as leader of a country? Or, how much hard work is going to get a thirty-six year old woman who was sold into prostitution at the age of nine and as a result has hiv/aids into a hospital as a surgeon?
People are led by fate and if fate determines you be something there can be no changing it. Sometimes hardwork isn't enough.
Fate is fate.

Yes . Fate means karmic reactions. Though it is very hard to determine exactly what karma we will get in this life. It is mostly based on our lasts liefs activities. That is why a child is born sick or blind or healthy or in a wealthy or poor family, all due to past life reactions. But we can change our fate by practicing Bhakti Yoga. This is not some breathing or stretching exercises. It is the process of offering all of ones activities, talents, and all one has in the loving devotional service to God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. It also is a process of always thinking of and remembering the names of God. Though He is one He has innumerable transcendental names. It is Universal and non sectarian. By doing this practice one gradually becomes free from all karma and material bondage then at the end of life they will be free and have the opportunity to return to the eternal kingdom where their is no more birth death old age or disease and everyone is enjoying unlimited blissful loving relationships with God. I choose that. For info go to harekrishnatemple.com

No such thing as fate. Every thought, emotion and action creates a new perspective that sooner or later we have to face and deal with. If I consider my self a winner then I’m a winner in the long run because my actions will be focused on creating the correct sequence of events to prove me right. By altering the way of thinking I’m altering the course of events in accordance with my intentions and desires.

Each of us walks our own path leading to the same destination - home. You call it fate. There are obstacles in our path and lessons to be learned. This is our free will to make decisions, mistakes, and at last reach enlightenment.
It takes many lifetimes before most of us reach home. Why would one want to escape home? Home is love and comfort. It is where all yearn to be. It is where we all belong.

No such thing as fate, just coincidence.
And if you do believe in fate, it can be changed through hard work.
