Why is my 07 stang gt auto stock faster t0 60 than an 07 vette auto?

Sucky driver in the 'vette.
A heavy car can't beat a lighter car with 100 more hp, unless the driver of the faster car has no clue what they are doing.

I didn't watch the vid (i'm on dail up) but I'll give you some reasons why it came out that away in your race. (look up the specs and times and you will see your findings are not norm)

Driver plays a major role in it. If your a better driver you will get to 60 mph quicker

Reation time if running next to another car, is a major thing. 0-60 mph times are listed from computer data that shows the time from accel to 60 mph.. If your racing a buddy to 60 mph then who ever gets the jump will probbly win.

Traction, traction, traction will make or break a race.

My mid 11 second in the 1/4 mile car was running freaking 13's when it was spiining for over 300' down the track.. My 0-60 mph time now is 3.2 to 3.4 seconds, when I was on factory suspension, and real street tires, not hooking at all it was in the high 5's

Next.. How are you judging the MPH.. Like I said I didnt watch the vids, but if its too diff runs, one a stang and one is a vette then that test is dead before even thinking about it.

Air temp, height above sea level, wind and other weather cond. plays a bigger roke in power than you think. So unless the test was done back to back at the same spot, with same temps the data is void.

heck inlet air temp along is worth 1% power per 10*

Next what are you measuring MPH with.. If OEM speedo then that voids the test right there.

OEM speedo are known to be +/- 5% so the ford speedo could have shown 60 when car was going a little slower than 60, and the vette could have shown car 60 when in fact it was doing over 60.

Saw the videos, quite simply, the vette did a rolling start, where the mustang driver put both feet on it from the start.

you kidding right? The vet was set to cruise at 60mph which means that it was turned on just prior, and as you should know when you set the cruse to on the vehicle computer adjust to the best rpm for the speed to save fuel. Believe me a base vet is faster than a Stang GT is like comparing Oranges to Apples. Vet goes against Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Verons, Mclerens and so on. MuStangs go after G35, GS450, Mercedes 500's, BMW 7 Series and so on. Look at the Price tags I am not knocking Mustangs down is the simple reality, while most of us can afford a Mustang many of us Can't afford a Vet. Mustangs take care of most vehicles under $150,000 except the Evolution price tag of under $50,000 which takes care of most vehicles under $500,000 too Vet takes care of most above $150,000 including the Evolution which is under $50,000 grand by the way.
