Because it's one of the busiest forums. All that traffic means that the idiots who get off on trying to offend others have a better chance of doing it if they hang out here than if they hang out in the Mathematics forum.
I actually feel really sorry for them. What a pathetic life one must lead if the only attention you can get is negative attention, gained by being offensive or stupid.

I also think the people who say "im sick of answering these types of questions are a bit nuts for being in this section!

I know what you mean...they are disgusting. just try to ignore them. if that doesnt work, report them! and them send them emails saying how fricken stupid they are. it may not have any effect, but it lets you get rid ouf your rage! =D
