How would a person go about extracting sound from a DVD or VCD and converting it in MP3. Yes, I legally own these, but I want to listen to the music from these on an MP3 player.

go to www.appzplanet.com in the site search bar type in audio extractor, u will find results on many programs that extract audio from either cd,dvd, or vhs and there descriptions all u need to do is choose one, they also come with a guide for help if u need it. Enjoy!

the process is called Rip or ripping the music into mp3, wav, and other sound formats..

you need to have ripping programs, such as "winrip" , you have to upgrade your windows media player in order to have this function.

if you got this program, just simply play the cd or dvd music, then there is a record button, but before you start recording, configure your recording type, such as *mp3. that it and the recording of one music is just few seconds. you can rip i music cd in just lessthan 3 minutes...depending in your system capacity...
