I know that there are medications that can be perscribed by the doc if it gets really bad. there are also lollipops for nausea at Motherhood Maternity that I hear work really well. I am 31 weeks and I have to drink something with a little suger and carbonation in the mornings so that I will not get sick. I used to eat a few saltine crackers before I even left the bed in the morning to help out a bit, and it was only a bit. If it gets really bad, talk to your doctor because you need to keep something down in order to maintain the proper nutrition for you and the baby. I hope that it all works out and that I have been of some help.

My friend Zaneta didn't get over her morning sickness until the baby came.
I had it pretty bad my first few weeks and my fiancee kept giving me ginger ale which really really settled my tummy down. I lost 15 lbs in my first month but the doctor isn't worried about that as it is pretty typical. But I now carry around a ginger root to sniff and nibble on just in case.
Try to eat some crackers and keep yourself hydrated. Drink Ginger Ale slowly when you feel sick. And well, Eat Slowly if you can. Swallowing Air bubbles with your food can make you feel really sick. And if you eat nice and slow you can more than likely tell if its going to make you sick, your tummy will let you know and you can stop while your ahead.
I'm about four months pregnant and now the only things that bother me are thought, sight, smell of raw meat and some very specific other foods. I am slowly starting to take in Meat and Dairy again! But those crackers and pickles are delicious.
Steer Clear of the Fridge & Freezer. The scent from that puppy will send you running and that just from the smell of too many things at once.
Sorry for rambling! Good Luck hope you feel better soon!

It won't always be this bad, by the second trimester it probably will be gone all together. Try eating something very small every two hours, making sure something is always in your stomach. Other than that, there is not a whole lot, but most doc.'s see it as a good thing, means everything is 'normal'. But if you cant hold anything down for a couple days, call your doc. or the hospital. Good luck and just keep focusing at the reward you will get when all this is over!!!

I dont know why they call it morning sickness. I had morning noon and night sickness. Most of the over the counter or quick remedies did not work for me (emetrol, seltzer, crackers, etc). Morning sickness means a healthy baby is no comfort when your heads in the toilet. I had to see a doctor for prescription.
Phenergan (promethazine) worked like a charm. I had to take the suppository form because I couldnt even keep down water. I did take this medication for my entire pregnancy. Be careful dehydration is serious. If you start feeling really down no food/water see doctor. I had to make several trips to the emergency room for IV fluids.
Good luck. Try to keep your head up. Don't believe others when they say someday you will look back on this and laugh. Just be thankful that in about 6-7months it will be over.

You can get acupressure bands (sea sickness bands) from the chemist, they worked for me (a little). It is hard I was hospitalised twice during my last pregnancy for the same reason. Sometimes ginger tea can work, or ginger lollies (sweets).
You could ask your Doctor about a drug called maxalon, it worked for me as long as I didn't actually vomit, the drug calmed my stomach down, but it only works for about 30min and I could only take it 3 times a day, so it was more like a mini reprieve around meal times, lol
My morning sickness was all day sickness and it got worse as the day wore on, especially if I was tired. The queasiness lasted 5 months for me but that is at the extreme end, most women show a marked improvement around 13 weeks pregnant or so.

I had HORRIBLE morning (well actually all day) sickness with both of my boys. I kept a package of saltine crackers by my bed and ate a few before I even got up and that helped.
My mother in law said that ginger candy is supposed to help too, but I couldn't get past the smell to try :)
Hope you feel better soon!

im a man. i dont have morning sickness, but im a midwifery practioner and i know how to handle this kind of situation.. morning sickness is normal so you dont need to see your doctor. the best way to help you get in to this is to eat crackers before raising to bed early in the morning this would help you a lot.. and stay away from things that makes your stomach upset or make you vomit because this may agravate the situation..

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. Everyone says crackers before you even get out of bed. For some reason milk or anything light to eat like toast helped me. It will get better, for most people. When the placenta starts to take over the hormone production, you should start feeling less like death warmed over. Good Luck and hope you feel better soon.

I ate Popsicles. It helped take the edge off for me but it really never went away till after I had my babies.
I feel for you.
I had to take care of my children and my husband, which was almost impossible at times.
I would never have been able to go to school.
I hope your doctor can give you something that will help you.
It's pretty hard to get sympathy from a husband because he will never experience it.
There were foods I couldn't eat for years after I was through having babies.
My husband insisted that I cook chicken for him and his friend. I did, with many trips to the bathroom.
It was five years before I could eat chicken, no matter who cooked it.
The best thing I can do for you is to pray for you.
I will do that immediately.
Sorry that I couldn't be of help.
