Some people can do this. Those who can are able to maintain a "mainstream" demeanor while the taxing mental requirements of doing so suck the life's blood from their minds. But to them, it's not a detrimental side effect, rather, it's a drug they feed upon.

Deliberate very carefully before engaging in this tactic. For it may be your undoing if you have not the mettle nor the endurance to sustain it.

You cannot get rid of your boss and your energy will be depleted by efforts to do so. Your boss, though, may get rid of you.
You must be responsible here and decide to make a change in your thinking and accept your circumstance or make a change in jobs. This must come from your quiet mind and not your controlling mind.

change jobs, then later if that person is no longer employeed, apply to return to your old job
or speak to his supervisor, especially if other employees have the same complaint, and if you think the supervisor cares
