I am on a VERY regular 28-day cycle (previously taking Ortho-tri lo). I went on a family vacation from Aug 10-17. I forgot to bring my birth control pills with me ( I should have begun taking them again on Sunday Aug 12th) and the date my last period came was August 5th.

I have already looked up ovulation calculators and my most fertile days this month were 17th-22nd, during which time I did have unprotected sex.

My period was due to start again this past Sunday Sept 2nd, and it has yet to arrive.

I have been experiencing some lower abdominal cramping for the past 3 days, similar to premenstural cramps, but nothing near in comparison to what I usually experience pain-wise.

I took the Clear Blue Digital pregnancy test early Sunday morning (the day my period was due) and got a negative result, testing with "first urination of the day" as the test advised.

My period has yet to come, and I am experiencing some slight abdominal cramping still, but no period.

Any input? Anything helps

You're only 1 day late. Chill.

Yes it is possible however, usually a first cycle after you stop the pill may be a funky cycle. I'd retest again in a couple of days. I personally like the "First Response Early Result" tests the best.

Don't freak out either! A vacation may also have caused your ovulation to occur later since your body was more stressed (doing something differently).

Waite a few days and take another one, sometimes your body doesn't have enough of the hormone to show up on a test. You may still get it, the stress about thinking about being preg, may be what is delaying your period

It is possible, but there is nothing else we can say. You may have a hormonal disorder because of not getting your pills, or you may be pregnant. It is best to go have a blood hBCG test, for more accurate results, even if your period does come.

well i don't think i use first response but if i have they have all been right for me. But i would believe your doctor. Doctors normally know whats up. Maybe you thought you were pregnant so you made your hormones crazy so when you took the one at home it made it seem like you are prego.

You can be. False Negatives can happen. (False Positives, not so much)

See your doctor!
