You should work up to the point you are comfortable - you are not doing heavy lifting, or standing all day so there is no reason you cant work up to your 39th week.
Some people work up to the point they go into labor..so relax and don't worry about other people. some people are sissy's and spend there entire pregnancies with there feet up and a maid waiting on them hand and foot..the rest of us live in the real world :)
Good luck and quit worrying about what other people think only you and your doctor know what is best for you

No, I would and have done the same thing. With my last pregnancy, I worked until 3 days before I was due. Like you, I worked in an office job that allowed me to sit most of the time and felt that using my maternity leave for after baby was born was better for him and for me.
The last few weeks will probably be quite uncomfortable and your feet will tend to swell, especially since you are sitting much of the time. Putting up your feet, getting up and moving around frequently, and slipping off your shoes when you're able will make you more comfortable. I would have run around barefoot if I thought I could have gotten away with it. LOL.

Nothing wrong with that.
I left a month before I was due, because I wanted to have my birthday off - and in hindsight I should have just kept working because I was bored.
You can go lunching with the girls because everyone is at work. You can't drink. No point going shopping because you don't know what clothes are going to fit after so it's a waste of money!
Unless you don't have your nursery set up, there is nothing really to do until that baby comes - may as well get paid!
Unless of course you start to get tired or sick or something, then consider finishing earlier.
All the best!

Many women choose to work right up to delivery if they are able to. I worked until the day I went into labor when I was pregnant with my second child. It is much nicer to have time off when you actually have the baby instead of sitting around waiting for weeks. Good luck!

I was waitng tables when I had my first, and worked till the day before I was induced and I was 17 days late. I think if you are OK and baby is OK there is no problem. I have know plenty of women who worked all the way through. Bottom line is that it is YOUR body and YOUR baby, you make the decisions from here. Don't let anyone make up your mind for you.

No that's not unusual at all.
My friend worked until the day she went into labour.
They will have someone to cover you at work should you go into labour earlier.
They'll most likely use your replacement for maternity leave.
If they are unavailable then they'll use someone from an agency for the time until they get your replacement.

I did the same! Actually I hadn't officially finished when baby came as she was early! My boss was terrified I was going to give birth in the office! So long as you aren't lifting etc etc there's no problem - I was actually training someone to do my job at the time so literally did nothing! Good luck :)

No way! If I had a desk job, I would do the same! I don't blame you for doing this actually, it gives you more time with the baby.

why would you want too work up so late?
You should a least have a few weeks to relax and nest before baby comes because it is so full on those first few weeks!!!
I left my job at 30 weeks for all my pregnancies.
