I was hemming my daughter's pants with hemming tape and didn't realize some was sticking out. Now it is stuck on my iron. Is there any way to get it off, or do I have to get a new iron?

if none of the above removes it.... WD-40 and some rubbing with a clean cloth will surely remove it.

This one is too good . I have to answer, and comment. First of all how the hell did you do that by accident? I think you where trying to tape them together on purpose. Why ?I'll never understand. I think that you have gotten allot of good answers on how to remove duct tape. If you really want to know , call the manufacturers 800 # on the packageing, if there is one. If not then try something oil based.Goo Gone would be my product of choice. It removes anything sticky. spray it on and let it sit a while. then spray some more as you peel it off. You can get someone to go to the store and get it for you . They'll find it in the automotive section. Next time tape your penis to your balls

Turn the iron on the hottest setting and run it across a paper bag.

i did the same thing.. it eventually burned off.. left a little bit of residue... unplug it and wait for it to cool and try scraping it with a razor blade or get a cloth with some rubbing alcoholand try that.. if that doesnt work you can also try using goo gone.. that will mroe than likely get the stiky stuff off

Mineral Spirits will dissolve adhesive. Try that first by just wetting it down. The second thing to try is some fine steel wool.
