I wish, you wish, he/she wishes. Present form of the verb wish. Your sentence is correct as written. If Roger writes the sentence for himself, it is,"I wish you a Merry Christmas."

Wish is a verb as used in this sentence. A conjunctive verb is a verb form which is used specifically in a conjoined clause.

If Roger was writing it he should write "I wish you a Merry Christmas."
Some people talk in the third person. In that sentence the word wishes is used correctly.

If you are Roger, then you would need to correctly write it, "I, Roger, wish you a Merry Christmas." or just leave your name off and sign it like this, "I wish you a Merry Christmas. Sincerely, Roger." To say it the way you are, means that you are actually passing on a Merry Christmas wish to the person you are talking to from a person named Roger.

Well if Roger is wanting to talk in third person, the statement is fine.

But it would sound better to say I wish you a merry christmas.
Unless it is on a greeting card with no other context...then Roger would just happen to be the one writing the phrase that fits best for the picture...if that makes sence to you.
