The Hundred Secret Senses is one of my favorite books. It took me about 70 pages to get into, and I almost didn't finish it, but then I finished the chapter that I was on, and it turned out to be amazing. It was written by Amy Tan, who also wrote Sagwa, which is now a children's show on PBS.
It is about a girl who is half Chinese and when her father dies, she realizes she has a half sister living in China who comes to live with her family. Her sister seems crazy and tells stories and secrets to her.
I don't know what else to say, but it was an amazing book.
Two other good books I've read would be Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, but I don't remember the author.

Prince of Tides I've heard is a good book to read, I myself might read it. Angelas ashes is a good book to read if u like Irish type stuff. Tai-pan I heard of it in one of my history coursesI took in college but I've never read it. I've heard many good reviews of that book. So they are good books to read, depends on what u like to read.
