You should say some white Americans. Me and my boyfriend make regular visits to Gettysburg PA where some of the bloodiest battles were fought in the Civil War. Whites as well as blacks died to free the slaves. Not all Whites are racist. As a matter of fact you question is kind of racist. And may I add that some Africans sold their own people into slavery. Do your home work before you spout off.

History by itself can be interesting and even instructive but when ever it invades in to the domain of Geography and stays put there, the problems start. What America has just begun to feel is reverse discrimination. It's just the beginning and in the years to come, blacks shall claim and have more than their share of resources in America. The number of racist white Americans and hardening of their stand on the Issue shall increase further.Remember,no body wants to pay for the wrong acts of their fore fathers.

People fear the unknown. At that time, long ago, they took black people and labeled them as nothing more than animals. We made them slaves and then that continued for a couple hundred years. Over this time, the racism didn't really subside.
Now when black people got their long-awaited freedom, how do you think white people felt? White people were told their whole lives that black people are lesser than white people. Of course they're going to be racist.
You're touching some really touchy subjects here too, because the racism goes both ways. Black people are given benefits that white people don't get. Why? What has that individual done to earn it? What makes the white poor boy less deserving than the rich black boy?
Racism does exist in our country, but in a different way now. It goes both ways.
If you want equality, don't take part in inequality (such as receiving benefits a white person can't receive). I don't care what your excuse is, THAT IS RACISM.
The point you seem to be trying to make is it "isn't fair" for whites to be racist to blacks after we dragged them here. Well, duh. It isn't fair that they got dragged here in the first place, but what good does whining and drawing attention do?
And to address this, there is no way to be "rightly racist" towards anyone. It is never right to be racist.
I would say I'm politically racist (as in I don't believe we live in a true nation of equality) but I'm not racist in any way on an individual level.

It's all part of that process of erroneously believing there is a distinction between "them" and "us" and "we" are more human than "they" are. There's nothing logical to it.

Well when you are no longer any use to someone, and have become a burden, even if it is their fault for you being here, they will find a way to validate their hate, and say you don't belong and point out how inferior you are. When a group feel that they superior to you, in their minds they are right, you are wrong! Point Blank.
