yes or when you smile and they look at you like you're nuts? it makes me want to turn back and punch them a few times.

Rural Midwest- Heck, we all wave @ each other- whether we know each other or not- the 'ol "farmer's wave" - an index finger up slooooowwwwwlllllyyyy. Yep, that the way here. If they don't wave, heck, I could care less. They are usually then otherwise occupied looking @ the road. My town- If you are going on a walk, people ask you if you need a ride- If your car is broke down, people know it before it is fixed-after they've offered you a ride, if you "wave" them down- AND how can you avoid a wave from a farmer on his John Deere-Yep, that is the 'ol rural midwest- What a life, huh? LOL! It is rather humerous. Yet, is rather peaceful. Nite all- Have a good one!

Not really, it doesn't bother me if they don't wave back. Perhaps they did not see me wave or they just didn't feel like acknowleging a wave. At least I feel that I am friendly and have acknowledged a person even if they don't wave back..
Sometimes people wave at people they don't even know..!! LOL

Were i work I am required to wave but they think that they are to good to wave back so it makes me feel like Crap

Sorry. I'm so near sighted, I rarely see the wave and never recognize the waver. I do a lot of apologizing at work because I failed to wave or "snubbed" someone I didn't see.

i hate it so much. sometimes i don't wave back but that's because I'm in my own little world and zone back in a little too late. I'm sorry i do that *to all of you that waved and didn't wave back at* but it does irritate me when the other person doesn't wave back

I cant really see, so I wouldnt know if the person was waving @ me or not. but I do hate when I walk past & say hello to somebody who is giving me eye contact & they dont respond.

LOL, I always feel stupid when I don't get a wave back to me,lol, but I get mad when my toddler waves at people and they ignore her, that's just mean...

No not really. I can not stand it more when a stranger waves at me and gets all mad when i do not respond as if I should know them.Once a stranger asked hi how are you like she knew me and got pissed off because I got shy and did not respond to her liking.Phsyco!!!!
