I have contacted my U.S. Representative no less than 4X in the last few months.
The first two contacts were via e-mail. Then by mail and finally by phone.
While I don't expect to talk to him personally, I would at least like to hear back from one of his staff members.
Is there anything anyone else has done or that I can do?

This is a huge problem with our government, they no longer listen to the problems of people until you effect there credibility, make a utube video about it call your local radio host, chances are if you ripple the water enough you will get his attention.

As a citizen you have a right to express your opinion to elected representatives. However, you have no "right" to a response.

You will be more likely to get a response if you send your request via overnight express mail. Staffers understand that if you are willing to spend money to get your message to them you are much more likely to spend money in support of a campaign (for them or their opposition.)

If that doesn't elicit a response then I'd assume that your question/concern (or the manner in which it was expressed) has placed you on the "kook" list.

You could write a letter in the newspaper of you state capital asking the same question. Sometimes these get published and usually politicians suddenly have the time to write back.

Alot of them are like that, they think its a waste of there time to listen to a tax payers concern. Don't waste anymore of your time or energy on a ignorant old congressman. My advice to you is try to contact your mayor, he or maybe a she will listen, if not don't vote for that congressman and mayor next election.

you know, I've tried myself to contact my Congressman on a matter I needed help with. Never heard a peep out of him.

There is no way to contact your representative. Forget about it.
