Sharpshooters go way back in time. They originated well before America even existed though we have had our share of them like the ones in the old west. They are people (used to be just men back in the old days) that had perfected their aim as well as their speed to not only be the fastest but the most correctly aimed at whatever the target was, whether it was a beer bottle on a fence post or a skeet in the air or a human being. The USA SWAT teem are all Sharpshooters. They can aim and hit a target with persicion. Sharpshooters are shooters of any form of weapon. They can use bow and arrow, knives or even slingshots, but most commonly they are known to use rifles or pistols (hand guns). Most of the Old West sharpshooters were killed off by another sharpshooter who was better and faster in their aim and swiftness with a gun. The art of sharpshooting is to be as fast as you can as well as be as precise as you can hitting dead center on whatever target you are aiming at. Even a good hunter is a sharp shooter. They have to aim at the perfect place on the animal they are downing for food and most of the time only have a split second to aim and shoot since the animal is usually on the run. If they aim wrong, they only wound the animal or ruin the meat if the bullet or arrow penetrates in the wrong place. A sharpshooter has the nack of knowing how to project his aim ahead of a moving target so that when the target gets to a place, his bullet or arrow or knife, etc meats that target with percision. You can even classify a bombadeer (the person who is responsible for hitting the target with the bomb) as a sharp shooter if they can perfect their job to successfully hit all the targets right on the money as they say.
