The trombones! The tubas! The accordion solos! Arghhhh! So annoying, yet my neighbor continues to blast his horrendous tunes on a daily basis.

Oh yes. I'm mexican and i can tell that banda, corrido y norteno music is annoying, and the narco music is worst. I work on a restaurant where all the cooks are mexicans, and they play that music all day long, and talk about coger (****) at every moment, to drink and to use drugs as it was something normal. Plus they, my coworkers are so rude, vulgar, and they grab each other's ***, but not mine, because they know i'd kick their culos (asses). But mostly is because they are rancheros, people from the poorest places in Mexico and they are uneducated to. They stare at every woman that goes to the bussines, and keep watching her until she goes. They are like horny doggies or donkeys.

Eh, I'm not a big fan of it myself (with the glaringly obvious exception of the Mexican Hat Song). Just go over and tell him that his music's way too loud, and that there are noise laws in urban areas.

I'm Latin and I have to say that I think it is annoying. And there is nothing bad about it. Other people think reggae ton is annoying and i don't get upset about that.
And is not all Mexican music i like Paulina and Alejandra.
It's the banda music like "la madre de todas las bandas" El recodo!!! OMG It's annoying!

I think it's because the music is repetitive. It has the same bass-line of

Our neighbors were blaring this until 11pm last night. They had one of those tents and some big speakers. When I say neighbors, I mean neighbors a block or two away.
I agree with next answerer -- it's not all Mexican music (Cafe Tacuba isn't bad), just the stuff you're likely to have blasting for everybody in a 1 mile radius to hear.
Please don't take what I say to mean I'm racist -- my wife and son are Mexican.

bad Mexican music tends to have the same bass beat, irritating and shouting people trying to make a buck.
There is very good Mexican music
If you look for it, you'll probably find it. They have beautiful love songs. Linda Ronstadt is one of the best.

Not ALL Mexican music is annoying, don't say that. It depends on the genre. The one you describe i believe is a bit annoying though.
