As an Irish fan I was extremely happy. I know this year is going to be a rebuilding year for the Irish but to see a powerhouse like Michigan lose in their own house was great. For Appellation State that was awesome also, they are a small team and they proved they belong where they are now. This might have put the Wolverines out of the championship already but we'll just have to hope and see.

I am an LSU fan because I am originally from Louisiana but I live about a half hour from Appalachian State University. I have a sister that lives in Michigan that teaches at Grand Valley State. I picked ASU to win 6 months ago when they announced the two teams would be playing. Perhaps I am psychic so if anybody needs to know who to bet on for the national championship or the superbowl, my picks are LSU and the New Orleans Saints. USC will lose to Cal and Nebraska. Lloyd Carr will be fired.

Happy but on an even keel...not too excited, not too drained...cause I used to go to App State and I am a Notre Dame fan...So, I'm for App, and a Michigan loss means Notre Dame might have a prayer against them...

VERY happy for the Appy State fans/players/coaches.
A little sad for my friend in Baton Rouge who is a big Michigan fan.
I had no personal stake in the game, so it wasn't THAT big a deal to me.

Unphased. I knew what Appalachian State has done in their league and I knew they had a shot. Being a powerhouse in a bigger Division doesn't automatically mean you will win. Little surprised that after one loss though, people are already calling for Lloyd Carr to resign.

Nice to see one of the "big time" schools get beat by the little guy.
But this will add gasoline to the fire of those who think this second-tier league (now called Div. I FCS) is somehow equal to Div. I.
Mixed feelings.
