Ok, I know this is weird, but I finally rented the movie, The Phantom of the Opera and I felt completely odd, like when you see your parents make out kind of a type of a thing. I do like chick flicks and romance but I just felt kind of on end and I felt goosebumps all over. I was wondering if anyone felt the same way if they watched it and am I ok? :S

Saw it in person...trust me it's soooo much better, I saw Micheal Crawford do music of the night,,,,oh my God will make you wet your pants.

I watched the movie, but I didnt get goose pimples or anything. But, I did go to toronto and saw The phantom of the Opera in real life, twice. I was pretty muched forced to go, my aunt bought my ticket, so I didn't have a choice. I must admit, I am so very glad that I was able to enjoy it. It is wonderful, and the movie did not do justice to what it really was like in person. The phantages theatre (i know i spelled that so wrong) only showed The Phantom of the Opera, so it was brilliant. Maybe you didnt fully understand all that was going on. My sister, after the show, had a lot of questions. Some people just don't get opera or I should say, just don't like opera enough to appreciate it and what its meaning is. Also, I know there are more than one version of the movie, there is one with Robert Englund (freddie kruger) that was horrible, and some other low budget ones that were not so great. Maybe you need to watch it over or watch a different version of it. It is a beautiful story, if told right.

The silent film version is creepy..... the musical one is lame! I like the way it was shot but the rest was toooooo musical for me.... except for the part where the phantom appears at the ball as the red death.... awesome!!!!

I have never seen it live, but really want to! Have seen the movie though, and I think it was incredible, but I guess it's much better in reality!

Well, I watched it on Broadway, and it certainly is a darker production. Maybe just watch something funny next time?
