My spouse is very understanding, then again, I am not a woman who makes a point of talking to the opposite sex or befriending them because I have too much respect for my spouse to ever even put myself in a situation like that.
And for the record (so you know I'm not some woman who doesn't deal with the opposite sex on a regular basis) I work at a mine where out of 64 employees only 7 of them are women.
I just make it a point to stick to my job, do my job, and not let anything ever go any further than those are the people I work with.

Jealous a grey area, imature feeling. Talk/ chat seems OK ! its when its more personal context that it is a issue. As Adults there has to be a maturity of understanding and some obvious TRUST !
I believe its like looking but can not touch, lol.
We don't have to go out side the house to commune with other Adults.
It is envious , denial love that we miss out on like time spent together.
Time is only a essence of a moment, Daryl.06/09/07

I talk with members of the opposite sex all the time, I work with them, etc. My husband talks with and works with members of the opposite sex as well. We don't get jealous because we trust each other, it's as simple as that.
If your spouse is overly jealous about this, then he/she's got some problems, and I highly reccommend you guys get some counseling. This could also be the sign of an abuser, because abusers tend to want to tightly control those they abuse. Even if your spouse isn't an abuser, being overly jealous is a sign of a lack of trust, or a sign of a poor self-image. Both are not good in any marriage. Counseling can help both issues.
Good luck.

Well me myself am not a jealous person. For me it would be the real deal.Catching my spouse just chating with a gal is ok unless they are talking like they want to lick each other for breakfast or brunch,or maybe clean each others guns.I personally will never trust a man ever again,no matter if its cheating or etc, you can thank a man for that.

As long as the conversation is not sexual in nature I have no probelm with my husbank talking to another woman on the web on the on the phone or at work. If you have reason to suspect your spouse is up to no good then confromt him, but being jeleous over a spouse talking to someone of the oposite sex will drive them away. Stop it.

When I was married, my ex and I would talk to a lot of people from the net. The thing was, the people we met on here, we BOTH talked to. Its just an idea, but if people are married, they shouldnt have to hide anything...

If it's just talking who cares!! That's like saying you can't talk to a co worker who is the opposite sex.

i have just learned to not care. yes it matters and yes it pisses me off especially wheni see the conversations are of a sexual nature. as long as he gets to talk all the time to all of his female whores at his job, i get to talk to men on the internet. btw....i keep all my conversations archived so he can look at them at anytime and KNOW they aren't of a sexual nature. he always erases his text messages, his call logs and clears his history so i can't see whos he's looking up on myspace.
look...if a guy is going to cheat...let him cheat. no matter how often you look at him wondering, he's going to do it anyway. just be prepared to put up with it....or leave.
