Not seen the funnel cloud, no. But, the sky went purple, and then it went green.
And it seemed that the wind was coming from every direction.
I was in a mobile home, at the crest of a little hill. The furniture was going bump, bump, bump one way and then bump, bump, bump another way.
My brother was sitting across from me, saying profound things, like "Good God!" My 2 yr old was crying and begging me to make it stop.
When it was over, our very heavy front steps were in the neighbor's yard, the garbage pail wedged between them. The storage shed was gone and all our outdoor tools vanished. The tv antenna had ripped away and disappeared.
Scary stuff. I developed a phobia about storms that it took me years to get over.

I was in the middle of one when I was a child. Now I get spooked easily by bad thunderstorms. Funny how I've been in the middle of three major hurricanes but they didn't bother me. I guess I had advanced warning.

i was in one. On a small ,well, very small boat in the ocean. Almost died. An i still love the ocean.....
