think about it, how is someone in the top ranks of GE get their message to the news desk at the nightly news of nbc? i think if it was that obvious then more people would be speaking out but honestly you dont see immelt whispering in brian williams' boss to not talk about so and so. im sure it happens to a degree but i want to know SPECIFICALLY how, not some stupid conspiracy theory made up by liberals who can only say a b c happens without telling me exactly HOW.

Big corporations write Media Releases and often have media conferences, every time they do something that they want the public to know about. Reporters naturally report this as news, they don't always check the info for accuracy or to see whether somebody else has a different point of view. This is an easy and convenient way for the media to get news, so they make use of it a lot. They don't usually do any investigative reporting to find out the real story, or they consider an in-depth story as being too hard to sell.

Corporations control the media with their advertising dollars. The media is interested in the bottomline (profit) not the info that is relayed to the people in their "markets." Market is what they call the area that their information, newsertainment reaches. It's all about the bucks and their sponsors control the dollars. Yes, these corporate dollars do dictate what is said and how it is said.
