Rome was the most advanced civilisation of their time and have contributed countless things to the world. The major ones being in architecture: the arch, aqueducts, and cement. They invented the early flushable toilet. They were responsible for building the network of roads throughout Europe that improved communication and some of those roads are still used today.

Plumbing and architecture. They were good at building roads and buildings. Some of which are still around. They borrowed most of their artistic ideas from Greece as well as their ideas about government and theology. They copied Greek architectural style but took it to another higher level in scale and design. Roman numerals being as clumsy as they were meant that the Romans never excelled in mathematics.

Life of Brian - Monty Python (1979)
Reg: All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
Attendee: Brought peace?
Reg: Oh, peace - shut up!
Reg: There is not one of us who would not gladly suffer death to rid this country of the Romans once and for all.
Dissenter: Uh, well, one.
Reg: Oh, yeah, yeah, there's one. But otherwise, we're solid.

Good ideas above, but to me the obvious one is language.
Yes, we no longer speak Latin, but it is a major contributor to languages such as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French , and - - - - - - ENGLISH - especially in medicine.
