Different strokes for different folks. Shaved is smoother, slicker when wet, and tastier in by book. I had them from bare skin to wooly mammoth. I prefer it shaved because I'm detail oriented. I love all of the natural knooks and crannies.

I would ask the guy you're doing it for... after all, it's his opinion that matters, not ours.
You could get every response from "smooth as a baby's behind" to "a big bushy fluff". Different people like different things, same with colors, shapes, and everything.
Ask the guy you're doing it for (use hints if you want it to be a surprise). The biggest thing is that hair grows back quick enough that if the relationship doesn't last long, you can change it for the next guy with ease.... as long as you don't use lasers or anything permanent. Good luck!
